The Bell Inn is ideally located, placing guests within a short walk of the high street, shops, and parks, making it easy to explore the area and catch buses. Many guests appreciate the spacious loft rooms, which include a welcome kettle and offer a quiet retreat despite the inn's proximity to a fairly busy road; furthermore, it is very near to the Cricket Festival. While most find their stay pleasant, some guests have occasionally noted a slight sewage smell in the bathroom. A definite plus is the possibility to enjoy a satisfying Sunday roast in the pub.

The location works well. It is just a short walk to the main high street. My room was very quiet, even though it was above the pub, and it had everything I needed. A separate entry exists, away from the main pub door.
